Food vendor stabbed to death<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A food vendor was stabbed to death by three men
\nafter the victim refused to give them any money in a scuffle in
\nPondok Gede, Bekasi, some 30 km east of the capital, on Sunday
\nnight.<\/p>\n
Sources at the Pondok Gede police sub-precint told The Jakarta
\nPost yesterday that the victim was Riswan Nasution, 31, who was
\nkilled by three men known as notorious hoodlums in the area. The
\nsources said the police had apprehended one of the three
\nsuspects, while the other two were still at large.<\/p>\n
\"It's only a matter of time before we catch the other two
\nsuspects because we know their identities,\" one police officer
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
According to Darwis Nasution, one of the deceased's relatives,
\nthe hoodlums asked Riswan to give them some money. But Riswan
\nrefused the demand and offered resistance when the men produced
\nknives and mobbed him. Darwis did not specify the sum of money
\ndemanded by the suspects.<\/p>\n
The men then brutally stabbed a helpless Riswan who suffered
\nfive stab wounds to the left arm, stomach, back and chest. Riswan
\nwas immediately rushed to hospital, but died on the way, Darwis
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Riswan, a resident of Jl. Jati Makmur, Pondok Gede, is
\nsurvived by a wife, who is three months pregnant, and two
