Food arrangement night<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The Sekar Saji Nusantara Foundation will hold an
\n"Inspiration Participation Night" in a bid to preserve the art of
\nIndonesian food arrangement, which, it said, has been eroded and
\nchanged by foreign cultures.<\/p>\n
The event, which will be held tomorrow at the Regent Hotel,
\nwill include the launching of a book on Indonesian traditions and
\ncultures, titled Inspirasi Indonesia (Indonesian Inspiration).<\/p>\n
According to a statement made available to the Jakarta Post,
\nthe book will be the first of a series aimed at providing ideas
\non ways of presenting traditional food.<\/p>\n
The foundation's chairperson, Sarah Beddu Amang, said that the
\nbook was compiled by foundation members "who refuse to be trapped
\nin the modern way of thinking that national tradition is merely a
\npart of the past".<\/p>\n
The Sekar Saji Nusantara Foundation consists of enthusiasts,
