Pramuka and Jl.<br>\nMatraman in Jakarta seems to be taking a very long time.<\/p>\n<p>Major parts of the road are out of commission, debris is<br>\neverywhere, and the roads are full of potholes. All this has<br>\nresulted in a real slowdown of traffic.<\/p>\n<p>The Jakarta government, and the Ministry of Public Works,<br>\nshould reprimand the management and the contractor, who obviously<br>\ncare little about security and safety. They should also say<br>\nsomething about when the project is to be completed. It has been<br>\ndelayed far too long. Apart from this, the traffic light at the<br>\ncrossroads is malfunctioning. The light seems stuck on red,<br>\nswitching to red for just a second at a time.<\/p>\n<p>We hope that the Directorate of Traffic and Highways (DLLAJR)<br>\nand the Metro Jaya Traffic Police can repair the traffic light<br>\nsoon.<\/p>\n<p>EDDY TRIPUNOMO<\/p>\n<p>East Jakarta<\/p>",
