Flying van kills man<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A traffic attendant was crushed to death by a
\nToyota Kijang van as the vehicle was sent spinning by a passing
\nelectric train in Pejaten Timur subdistrict, South Jakarta on
\nSaturday.<\/p>\n
South Jakarta Police deputy chief of detectives First. Insp.
\nSiswono said that Abu Jalil, 46, a resident of Pejaten Timur, was
\nstanding on the intersection of Jl. Seno Raya and Jl. Kemuning
\nRaya when the car suddenly spun toward his direction and knocked
\nhim over.<\/p>\n
According to South Jakarta Police traffic deputy chief First.
\nInsp. Siswono, the van, driven by Jumantik, tried to cross the
\nrailway track from Jl. Kemuning Raya next to the crossing as the
\ntrain was approaching.<\/p>\n
The car passengers, Siti Urairoh, 25, and Agustina, 1, also
\nsuffered severe injuries and are currently being treated at Siaga
\nHospital.<\/p>\n
\"Local residents had shouted at Jumantik not to cross the
\nrailway track, but he carried on regardless,\" Siswono said.<\/p>\n
He added that both Jumantik and Agustina were unconscious when
\nthey were rushed to hospital.<\/p>\n
\"Jumantik later told us that he crossed the railway track
\nafter he saw a motorcycle in front of him doing it,\" Siswono
