Flour mill constructed<\/p>\n
SEMARANG, Central Java (JP): PT Indorama Nusantara has started
\nthe construction of a Rp 90 billion wheat flour mill at Tanjung
\nEmas port.<\/p>\n
\"We are building a 12-story factory, equipped with a warehouse
\nand a cargo port,\" the company's president, Harli Saleh, said
\nhere yesterday after signing the agreement between the company
\nand PT Pelindo III on the operation of the multipurpose cargo
\nport.<\/p>\n
Occupying a 2.6-hectare plot of land, the factory will have a
\nprocessing capacity of 540,000 tons of wheat per annum to produce
\n363,600 tons of flour, said Harli.<\/p>\n
The warehouse will be capable of storing 47,000 tons of flour.<\/p>\n
For the construction of the port, the company will dredge soil
\nto a depth of 100 meters at a cost of Rp 2.7 billion (US$1.1
\nmillion).<\/p>\n
\"This port may be used by the State Logistics Agency (Bulog)
\nand any other flour companies,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Harli said the construction of the facilities is scheduled to
\nbe completed by February 1997 and the production will start the
