        "content": "<p>Floods hit Thai provinces<\/p>\n<p>BANGKOK (AFP): Some 100,000 Thais were recovering yesterday<br>\nfrom the havoc wreaked by Depression Amy -- a downgraded tropical<br>\nstorm which submerged 15,500 hectares of Thailand&apos;s northern and<br>\ncentral provinces.<\/p>\n<p>At least three people were reported killed and several others<br>\nmissing after the heavy rains and flash floods swept through<br>\neight provinces and reached heights of two meters.<\/p>\n<p>A Thai Interior Ministry official said that 97 roads and 79<br>\nbridges had been made impassable by the flood waters.<\/p>\n<p>In Lampang province, 699 kilometers from Bangkok, mudslides<br>\nkilled at least one national park official, according to Radio<br>\nThailand. Two other officials were reported missing, it said.<\/p>",
