The Pidie Jaya Regency Government in Aceh has distributed meugang\ntradition aid from President Prabowo Subianto to communities affected by\nflooding, ahead of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.<\/p>\n
The meugang tradition aid, in the form of cattle, was distributed by\nPidie Jaya Regent Sibral Malasyi together with the Regional Leadership\nCoordination Forum (Forkompinda) of Pidie Jaya Regency on Monday\n(16\/2).<\/p>\n
The assistance was channelled to communities affected by the flooding\nin late November 2025, spread across several sub-districts in Pidie Jaya\nRegency, including Meureudu, Meurah Dua, Trienggadeng, Panteraja, Bandar\nDua, Ulim, and Bandar Baru.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis presidential aid is intended to fulfil the needs of the meugang\ntradition as a demonstration of the central government\u2019s concern for\ncommunities still in the post-disaster recovery transition period,\u201d said\nSibral.<\/p>\n
Sibral stated that the total meugang tradition aid received by the\nPidie Jaya Regency Government amounted to Rp4.9 billion. The assistance\nwas realised through the purchase of cattle for affected\ncommunities.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom the total presidential aid budget, the regional government\nprocured 245 head of cattle to be distributed to communities in\nflood-affected villages,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He explained that each cow was assigned a serial number corresponding\nto recipient village data to ensure accurate distribution. If any errors\nor serial number mix-ups occurred, the cattle must be returned.<\/p>\n
\u201cEach cow already has a serial number and is handed over to the\nrespective recipient village. The cattle aid must not be transferred to\nother villages as it will be inspected during the distribution process.\nSub-district heads and village officials must accompany the process to\nensure orderly distribution,\u201d said Sibral.<\/p>\n
Sibral expressed hope that the aid would ease the burden on\ncommunities whilst strengthening solidarity amongst residents in\nwelcoming Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.<\/p>\n
