The Deputy Governor of Central Java, Taj Yasin Maimoen, stated that\nthe province is ready to welcome the delegation for the 31st National\nMusabaqah Tilawatil Qur\u2019an (MTQ) 2026 from various regions to Central\nJava. He expressed hope that the mobilisation of the participants would\nproceed smoothly.<\/p>\n
\u201cRegarding flight disruptions due to volcanic activity, thankfully,\nthey have been reopened today,\u201d said Taj Yasin in a written statement on\nTuesday (8\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, he continued, the authorities are preparing\nanticipatory measures in case airports must be closed due to volcanic\nactivity at any time.<\/p>\n
According to him, the Central Java Provincial Government has\ncoordinated with the airline Garuda Indonesia and airport managers to\nensure that the mobility of the delegation remains uninterrupted if\nflight disruptions occur.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have already communicated to Garuda that if there are any\nincidental closures, we will establish routes that are as comfortable as\npossible for the delegation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He noted that flight disruptions had previously occurred in several\nregions. In fact, approximately ten provinces were affected because\nflights had to pass through Soekarno-Hatta Airport.<\/p>\n
Therefore, if several airports are closed again, the delegation\u2019s\nflights will be redirected through alternative routes using supporting\nairports.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf there are closures of several airports, they must be diverted.\nThere may be transits at supporting airports,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that the arrangement of these alternative routes will\nbe facilitated by Garuda Indonesia alongside airport managers. This step\nis being prepared to ensure that disruptions caused by volcanic activity\ndo not hinder the arrival of the delegation in Central Java.<\/p>\n
In addition to preparing transportation scenarios, the Central Java\nProvincial Government has also coordinated with Garuda Indonesia\nregarding the arrival of the participants. Garuda Indonesia is also\nproviding ticket discounts for the delegation travelling to Central\nJava.<\/p>\n
Taj Yasin stated that the amount of the ticket discount varies\ndepending on the delegation\u2019s region of origin. Garuda Indonesia has\nalso added one additional flight to Central Java to support the mobility\nof the National MTQ participants.<\/p>\n

The Central Java Provincial Government continues to conduct\ncross-sector coordination to ensure that the entire series of\nactivities, including the arrival and departure of the delegation, can\nproceed smoothly.<\/p>\n
