        "content": "<p>Flash floods kill two<\/p>\n<p>MEDAN, North Sumatra: Two people drowned and another was still<br>\nmissing when flash floods hit four residential areas in the<br>\nBinjai mayoralty early yesterday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The flood was brought on by a sudden overflow in the Bingei<br>\nriver affecting the Bumi Berngam Baru settlement, Tavip market,<br>\nBinjai village and Mencirim sub-district.<\/p>\n<p>The strong currents drowned Sujiani, 35, and Ramadani, 3.<br>\nSujiani's daughter, Ditayuni, was also swept away by the flood<br>\nand has not been found.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty-four people are being treated at the nearby RM Djoelham<br>\nGeneral Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Nawawi, an official at the local administration, said shelters<br>\nhad been set up near the location of the floods. \"We have<br>\naccommodated 702 persons,\" he said.
