The revelation was made through a search conducted by the\nSmuggling Law Enforcement Task Force (Gakkum) on Wednesday, 15 April\n2026. From the raid results, investigators found thousands of units of\nillegal imported mobile phones suspected to be distributed in the\ndomestic market. This was revealed by the Director of Special Economic\nCrimes (Dirtipideksus) of Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General of Police\nAde Safri Simanjuntak. \u201cThe Smuggling Law Enforcement Task Force of\nBareskrim Polri has successfully seized thousands of illegal mobile\nphones from 5 warehouses,\u201d he said in a written statement quoted on\nThursday, 16 April 2026. Ade Safri detailed that from the five\nwarehouses searched, three are located in the Penjaringan area, North\nJakarta, while the other two are in Cengkareng, West Jakarta. This\nuncovering is a follow-up to the directive from President Prabowo\nSubianto in efforts to eradicate smuggling practices deemed detrimental\nto the state.
