The five\nphotographers, representing various news media outlets, have been\nunreachable since Monday (7\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>As of Tuesday (8\/9\/2026) evening, search teams are still conducting\nsweeps to locate the vessel carrying the photographers.<\/p>\n<p>The Banten Regional Police Marine and Air Police Director,\nCommissioner Eko Hartanto, reported that in addition to the five\nphotojournalists participating in the voyage to the Anak Krakatau\nwaters, two ship crew members have also lost contact. The five\nphotographers known to be missing include M Bagus Khoirumnas from LKBN\nAntara, Ari Basuki from Merdeka, Yudhis, a photographer for I News, Daus\nfrom the foreign news agency Anadolu Agency, and Donal, who is working\nas a freelancer.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioner Eko stated that on Wednesday afternoon, a joint team\nwould conduct a search for the photojournalists and the two crew members\nwho are missing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe search is underway, involving 23 personnel from the National\nPolice KP Sanjaya, 5 personnel from the Banten Regional Police Marine\nand Air Police, and 16 personnel from Basarnas,\u201d said Commissioner Eko\nin a report received by journalists on Tuesday (8\/9\/2026).<\/p>",
