        "content": "<p>Five ministries and agencies have received approval for their\nadditional budget allocations (ABT) from the Ministry of Finance as of\n17 June 2026, marking an initial step in funding recovery programmes for\nareas affected by the November 2025 flash floods. The entities that have\nsecured their budgets are the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the\nMinistry of Public Works, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry\nof Social Affairs, and the Ministry of Health. This budget certainty\nserves as initial capital for implementing various recovery programmes\nunder the agreed Master Plan for the Acceleration of Post-Natural\nDisaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (Renduk PRRP) in Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p>However, 28 other ministries and agencies are still undergoing\ninternal processes or checks at the Ministry of Finance. This situation\ndrew the attention of the Recovery Task Force (Satgas PRR) during a\ndaily meeting led by Senior Commissioner Wahyu Widiarso Suprapto at the\nMinistry of Home Affairs on Wednesday, 17 June 2026. Wahyu reiterated\nthe need to resolve all obstacles promptly, as Task Force Head Tito\nKarnavian has stressed that the disbursement of the additional budgets\nmust show tangible progress within the coming week. Tito stated, \u2018This\nweek we are pushing ministries and agencies still working on their\nproposals to submit them to the Ministry of Finance immediately. Do not\ndelay. The affected people cannot endure prolonged hardship. They have\nbeen suffering for seven months.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>According to updated data from the Ministry of Finance, 19 ministries\nand agencies are still in the discussion and administrative process\nstage, including the Ministry of Forestry, the Meteorology, Climatology\nand Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the Ministry of Housing and Settlement\nAreas, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture,\nthe Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, the Ministry of Trade, the\nMinistry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, the Ministry of\nVillages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and the National\nDisaster Management Agency (BNPB). Meanwhile, nine other ministries and\nagencies are still finalising their proposals internally, including the\nMinistry of Industry, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the\nMinistry of Communication and Digital Affairs, the National Research and\nInnovation Agency (BRIN), the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG), the\nMinistry of National Development Planning\/Bappenas, and the Ministry of\nEnvironment.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Trade reported that its additional budget proposal\nhas entered the checking stage at the Ministry of Finance and is\nexpected to be approved the following week. The Ministry of Micro, Small\nand Medium Enterprises has also made several document revisions with the\nMinistry of Finance. The Ministry of Health reported that the Ministry\nof Finance has approved the use of part of its budget for the\nrehabilitation of medical equipment and hospital facilities, with the\nfunds already transferred. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Works\nstressed the importance of submitting detailed operational plans for the\nRenduk PRRP to ensure all rehabilitation and reconstruction programmes\nare integrated and aligned.<\/p>\n<p>After hearing the reports, the meeting chair assessed that\npost-disaster recovery support is already underway across various\nsectors, including social assistance, MSME recovery, construction of\neducational and religious facilities, and restoration of public\nservices. However, accelerated coordination, data validation, and\nplanning synchronisation are still needed to ensure all programmes are\neffective and on target. Wahyu concluded, \u2018We once again emphasise the\nneed to immediately complete administrative documents and validate\nrehabilitation and reconstruction needs. These steps are necessary to\naccelerate the implementation of the Sumatra PRRP.\u2019<\/p>",
