Five men charged with overstaying visas<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Five men from Cameroon were arrested by the Central
\nJakarta Police on Thursday night for allegedly overstaying their
\nvisas.<\/p>\n
The police arrested Tchouaga Simplice Roland, Malong Francis,
\nFosso Andoce, Foussi Robert Roger and Njici Mido Cyrille Guy
\nArmand following a complaint about their behavior from a hotel on
\nJl. Wahid Hasyim in Central Jakarta. The hotel complained the
\nforeigners were noisy and disturbing other guests.<\/p>\n
The police sent them to the Immigration Directorate after
\ncharging them with violating Law No. 9\/1992 on immigration.<\/p>\n
Intelligence unit chief Comr. Pramono said that the police had
\nhandled nine other cases of people overstaying their visas.<\/p>\n
\"We occasionally arrest foreigners for staying longer than
\nwhat their visas stipulate. But after we send them to the
\nImmigration Directorate, the foreigners are just released. The
\ndirectorate says it doesn't have any money to extradite them,\" he
