        "content": "<p>As Eid approaches with five days remaining, vehicles continued to\nqueue at Pejagan toll gate (GT) in Brebes Regency, Central Java, on\nMonday morning, 16 March. The surge in homebound traffic volume and the\nprevalence of motorists running out of E-toll balance contributed to the\nlengthy queues.<\/p>\n<p>The queuing vehicles were predominantly private cars, minibuses, and\ninter-city coaches from Jakarta and West Java heading towards\nPurwokerto, Cilacap, and Kebumen.<\/p>\n<p>One traveller, Bramono, 37, reported waiting for more than 30 minutes\nat Pejagan toll gate. \u201cI attempted to top up my E-toll balance at\nseveral rest areas, but could not because the system was offline,\u201d said\nBramono, a homebound traveller from Jakarta heading to Brebes.<\/p>\n<p>According to data from the Pejagan-Pemalang toll operator, from\nmidnight Monday until 08:00, approximately 11,000 vehicles had exited\nPejagan toll gate heading towards Purwokerto and cities in southern\nCentral Java.<\/p>\n<p>Tasikmalaya City Traffic Police Chief AKP Riki Kustiawan stated that\ntraffic flow on the national arterial route from West Java to Central\nJava had not yet shown significant volume increases as of six days\nbefore Eid.<\/p>\n<p>The first wave of peak homebound traffic occurred on Saturday, 14\nMarch, and Sunday, 15 March.
