        "content": "<p>The Central Jakarta District Court will hold the first hearing of the\nalleged corruption case within the Directorate General of Customs and\nExcise of the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday, 6 May 2026, next\nweek.<\/p>\n<p>According to ANTARA on Friday, 24 April 2026, the spokesperson for\nthe Central Jakarta District Court, Andi Saputra, stated that the\ninaugural hearing is scheduled after the Corruption Criminal Court\nClerkship at the Central Jakarta District Court registered the case\nunder Number 19\/Pid.Sus-TPK\/2026\/PN.JKT.PST.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Chief Judge of the Central Jakarta District Court has appointed\nthe panel of judges to hear the case, namely Brelly Yuniar Dien Wardi\nHaskori as the chief judge, along with Edward Agus and Nofalinda Arianti\nas member judges,\u201d said Andi, as confirmed in Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, on 4 February 2026, the Corruption Eradication Commission\n(KPK) conducted a sting operation (OTT) within the Directorate General\nof Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>In the operation, one of the parties apprehended was Rizal, the Head\nof the West Sumatra Regional Customs Office.<\/p>\n<p>The following day, the KPK designated six out of 17 apprehended\nindividuals as suspects in the alleged bribery and gratifications case\nrelated to the importation of counterfeit goods within the Customs and\nExcise environment of the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the KPK named John Field (JF), the owner of Blueray\nCargo; Andri (AND), the Head of the Import Documentation Team at Blueray\nCargo; and Dedy Kurniawan (DK), the Operations Manager of Blueray Cargo,\nas suspects.<\/p>\n<p>On 26 February 2026, the KPK named a new suspect, namely Budiman Bayu\nPrasojo (BBP), the Head of the Excise Intelligence Section of the\nCustoms Enforcement and Investigation Directorate.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, on 27 February 2026, the KPK revealed that it was\ninvestigating allegations of corruption in excise duty administration,\nincluding after seizing Rp5.19 billion in cash from five suitcases at a\nhouse in Ciputat, South Tangerang, suspected to be related to the\ncase.<\/p>",
