        "content": "<p>The bribery case concerning nickel mining governance from 2013-2025,\ninvolving former Indonesian Ombudsman Chairman Hery Susanto as a\ndefendant, has entered a new phase. Susanto\u2019s first hearing is set to\ntake place next week. \u201cThe inaugural hearing is planned for Wednesday,\n24 June 2026,\u201d said Central Jakarta District Court spokesperson Andi\nSaputra in a statement on Thursday (18\/6\/2026). The case is registered\nunder number 34\/Pid.Sus-TPK\/2026\/PN. Jkt. Pst. It will be presided over\nby chief judge Dwi Elyarahma Sulistyowati, with Fajar Kusuma Aji and\nAlfis Setyawan serving as panel members. Hery Susanto was detained by\nthe Attorney General\u2019s Office (Kejagung) after being named a suspect in\nthe nickel mining governance bribery case spanning 2013-2025. The\nKejagung revealed that Susanto received bribes in the form of cash and a\nhouse. \u201cFrom these receipts, there are approximately five items: from\nLaode, Director of PT Tosida, amounting to Rp 875 million,\u201d said the\nDirector of Investigations at the Junior Attorney General for Special\nCrimes, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, to reporters at the Kejagung in Jakarta\non Thursday (11\/6). \u201cFrom Tjia Peng Tjoan, Director of PT Dinamika,\namounting to Rp 200 million; from Agung Winarno, a house located at Ruko\nGebang Permai Blok D5 Number 10, Pulo Gebang Village, Cakung District,\nvalued at Rp 2.2 billion; then from Agung Winarno through Edi Sukandi,\namounting to Rp 1 billion; and from Agung Winarno, amounting to Rp 525\nmillion,\u201d he stated. According to the case file, Susanto is suspected of\nviolating the primary first charge, namely Article 12 letter a in\nconjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning\nCorruption Crimes, subsidiary Article 12 letter b in conjunction with\nArticle 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Corruption Crimes,\nsubsidiary Article 5 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law\nNumber 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes.\nAlternatively, the second charge is Article 606 paragraph 2 of Law\nNumber 1 of 2023 concerning the new Criminal Code in conjunction with\nArticle 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999. \u201cThe suspect HS has been placed in\ndetention for 20 days, starting from 8 June 2026 to 27 June 2026, at the\nSalemba Detention Centre, branch of the Jakarta State Prosecutor\u2019s\nOffice,\u201d he said. Susanto allegedly handled issues regarding the\ncalculation of non-tax state revenue (PNBP) from PT TSHI. The company\nthen allegedly requested Susanto to arrange for the Ombudsman to correct\nthe PNBP calculation. \u201cThe suspect received a sum of money from Mr LKM,\nwho is a director of PT TSHI. The amount handed over by this one\nindividual is approximately Rp 1.5 billion,\u201d Syarief stated. The\nAttorney General\u2019s Office has also arrested the owner and President\nDirector of PT Toshida Indonesia, Laode Sinarwan Oda (LS). LS has been\nnamed a suspect for allegedly giving bribes to Hery Susanto in the\ncorruption case concerning nickel mining governance in Southeast\nSulawesi for the 2013-2025 period.<\/p>",
