        "content": "<p>Firms drop PLN tender<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Several suppliers of electricity equipment in<br>\nNorth Sulawesi have pulled out of a state electricity company<br>\ntender due to the low price ceiling offered.<\/p>\n<p>Nurdin, a company executive from PLN's Manado office, said on<br>\nSaturday that the suppliers had in fact won the tender to supply<br>\nthe equipment to the state electricity company's rural power<br>\nprojects in the province but later withdrew after realizing that<br>\nthe price limits set by PLN were below market prices.<\/p>\n<p>He said the hurdle in the tendering process has slowed<br>\nprogress on several PLN rural power projects in the province.<\/p>\n<p>Rural electricity projects should have started in June in<br>\nseveral regencies, but due to several delays in the complicated<br>\ntendering process, work only began in September, three months<br>\nbehind schedule, he said.
