        "content": "<p>Fireworks boss reports to police<\/p>\n<p>BREBES, Central Java: Edi Sukamto, owner of a fireworks<br>\nfactory which exploded early this week, reported to the local<br>\npolice upon his arrival from China yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;He appears to be a responsible man. He surrendered to the<br>\npolice upon his arrival from abroad,&quot; Chief of the Brebes police<br>\nprecinct Lt. Col. Sukarji said.<\/p>\n<p>Edi was in China on business when the factory exploded on<br>\nMonday, leaving at least 19 workers dead and 49 others injured.<\/p>\n<p>Sukarji said Edi will be questioned after he recovers from<br>\nshock over the tragedy. &quot;His wife is still in the hospital due to<br>\ninjuries sustained in the explosion,&quot; he told Antara.<\/p>\n<p>The factory owner has committed himself to paying Rp 1 million<br>\nfor each of the victims and has promised to cover all of the<br>\nmedical cost for those injured.<\/p>\n<p>Eight workers are still in the hospital due to serious<br>\ninjuries.
