Fire guts turpentine warehouse<\/p>\n
SURABAYA: The warehouse of a factory producing paint thinner
\non Jl. Kenjeran in Surabaya was destroyed by fire on Wednesday
\nafter four explosions were heard.<\/p>\n
No casualties or injuries were reported in the fire, which
\nbegan at about 11 a.m.<\/p>\n
Eight workers were in the warehouse at the time of the
\nincident. They rushed out of the building when they heard the
\nexplosions that preceded the blaze.<\/p>\n
Eight fire trucks were deployed to put out the fire.<\/p>\n
Tambaksari Police chief Adj. Comr. Kadarisman confirmed there
\nwere four explosions before the fire broke out.<\/p>\n
He said the fire was the second at the factory. Police are
\ninvestigating whether the factory contains all the necessary
\noperational permits.<\/p>\n
The owner of the factory was in Jakarta at the time of the
\nfire. The eight workers who were in the warehouse at the time of
\nthe blaze told police investigators the factory was also used as
