The fire at the Pavilion Apartment in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta,\nhas been declared extinguished. A total of 33 apartment residents were\nevacuated during the incident.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlhamdulillah, we were able to save the lives of 33 people. This\nconsists of 31 Indonesian citizens and 2 foreign nationals,\u201d said the\nHead of the Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat), Bayu\nMeghantara, at the scene on Friday (4\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n
The Pavilion Apartment is located on Jalan Mas Mansyur, Karet\nTengsin, Tanah Abang. The fire brigade received reports that the fire\nhad broken out on the 5th floor of Tower 3 of the apartment complex.<\/p>\n
According to data received by the fire brigade, there were no\nresidents left in Tower 3 at the time of the fire. However, firefighters\ncontinued to sweep every floor as a precaution to ensure no one else\nremained in the tower.<\/p>\n
\u201cAccording to the data reported to our post, there was no one left,\nbut to be certain, we continued our sweep,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
No fatalities were reported in this incident. Initial fire\nsuppression was carried out by the Bendungan Hilir fire brigade\nteam.<\/p>\n
A total of 28 pump engines and 140 firefighters were deployed to\nhandle the fire at the Pavilion Apartment, which was reported at 11:23\nWIB. The extinguishing process began at 11:30 WIB.<\/p>\n
Officers managed to control the flames to prevent them from spreading\nto wider areas or other objects by 13:36 WIB. Personnel continued to\nspray water on hotspots at the fire site.<\/p>\n
The extinguishing operation was declared complete at 16:55 WIB. The\nfire management process was quite lengthy due to the cooling process and\nthe evacuation of apartment residents.<\/p>\n
The fire brigade also deployed a Bronto Skylift truck for the\noperation.
