        "content": "<p>Surabaya, East Java (ANTARA) - Head of the Directorate General of\nTaxes (DJP) Regional Office for East Java I, Max Darmawan, stated that\nthe state budget (APBN) realisation for food security in East Java has\nreached Rp307.86 billion from this year\u2019s ceiling of Rp2.8 trillion.\n\u201cFrom the available funds or allocation of Rp2.87 trillion, Rp307\nbillion has been realised, growing 51.17 percent year-on-year (yoy),\u201d he\nsaid during a Media Briefing in Surabaya on Monday. Max said the\nrealisation up to May 2026, which reached Rp307.86 billion, grew 51.17\npercent (yoy) and reversed the previous year\u2019s sharp contraction trend\nof 61.59 percent. He noted that the acceleration was driven by an\nincreased ceiling to Rp2.87 trillion, a significant rise from Rp878.71\nbillion in 2025, reflecting the strengthening of the government\u2019s\ncommitment to national food security. He stated that East Java is the\ncountry\u2019s largest rice producer, with production of 7.71 million tonnes\nof milled dry grain (GKG). He revealed several outputs from this year\u2019s\nfood security budget utilisation, including the construction of 1,143\nkilometres of water resource network infrastructure and the development\nof two dams. Further outputs include the facilitation of fertiliser and\npesticides for 985,568 farmers, agricultural and fisheries training for\n1,260 people, and assistance with 7,571 seaweed cultivation seedlings.\nAdditionally, the budget supports increasing livestock production by\n2,400 head, developing 5,050 hectares of various palm areas, and\ndeveloping 56,050 hectares of seasonal crop areas. Lastly, it provides\nfor 5,500,000 brackish water fish fry and 30 units of brackish water\nfish farming equipment.<\/p>",
