        "content": "<p>Final batch of Makassar Embarkation Departs for Mecca<\/p>\n<p>Ikbal Ismail, head of the Hajj Organising Task Force (PPIH) at\nMakassar Embarkation, personally sent off kloter 43\u2014the final group of\npilgrims\u2014from Makassar to the holy city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Alhamdulillah, the series of processes for receiving and dispatching\nthe pilgrims for the year 2026 AH \/ 1447 H has been completed and\nthoroughly finished,\u2019 he said in Makassar, as quoted by Antara on\nThursday (21 May).<\/p>\n<p>Kloter 43 is a joint batch from three provinces: South Sulawesi\n(Sulsel), North Maluku (Malut) and Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra).<\/p>\n<p>Ismail said PPIH Sulsel dispatched pilgrims from ten regencies and\ncities, including Wajo Regency with 112 pilgrims, Gowa Regency with 46\npilgrims; Maros 13; Bulukumba 17; Pangkep 9; Pinrang 6; Soppeng 8; Tana\nToraja 7; Takalar 5; and Makassar City 1 pilgrim.<\/p>\n<p>From North Maluku there are 4 pilgrims remaining, and from Southeast\nSulawesi 15 pilgrims, including 3 accompanying persons and haj guides;\nthe total remains 246 pilgrims.<\/p>\n<p>In his address, Ismail expressed appreciation to all officers and\nparties supporting the departure up to the final wave of the Makassar\nEmbarkation. \u2018Kloter 43 is a Nusantara batch because it includes\npilgrims from ten regencies in Sulsel, together with pilgrims from\nSoutheast Sulawesi and Maluku,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>Ismail stressed the importance of pilgrims understanding the manasik\nprocedures, especially the difference between haji ifrad and haji\ntamattu\u2019. He explained that pilgrims performing hajj ifrad will intend\nto undertake hajj on the plane about an hour before landing in Jeddah.\n\u2018For ifrad pilgrims, the intention is directly for hajj. Meanwhile,\ntamattu\u2019 pilgrims intend to perform Umrah first as they pass Yalamlam on\nthe plane,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>He also asked the pilgrimage mentors to remind pilgrims about the\ntiming and method of making the niat (intention) during the journey to\nthe Holy Land. He noted that tamattu\u2019 pilgrims will later enter ihram\nfor hajj on 8 Zulhijjah after completing Umrah and removing the ihram\nclothing.<\/p>",
