Filipino father kills children<\/p>\n
ILIGAN, Philippines (AFP): A 36-year-old engineer stabbed two
\nof his children to death yesterday and wounded two others before
\ntrying to commit suicide, police said.<\/p>\n
Rasmia Ali Mangondaya, 28, said her husband, Pandao, awakened
\nher in their home in Pantar town in the southern province of
\nLanao del Norte before dawn and began closing all doors and
\nwindows.<\/p>\n
He then pulled out a knife and stabbed his three-year-old
\ndaughter and a son, two, killing them. He also stabbed a five-
\nyear-old son and tried to choke a one-year-old baby boy, the wife
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
She managed to hit him on the head with a bottle, knocking him
\nout. When he came to, he saw the bodies of his children and
\nslashed his own throat and stomach.<\/p>\n
The father and the two surviving children were in separate
\nhospitals.<\/p>",
