Ficoritas opens gallery<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): PT Ficor Sekuritas Indonesian (Ficoritas), a
\nmember of the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX), signed an agreement
\nyesterday with PT Bepede Jateng Sekuritas to strengthen
\ncooperation between the two companies.<\/p>\n
Under the agreement, Bepede Jateng, which does not have a seat
\non the JSX, will be allowed to trade on the exchange through
\nFicoritas.<\/p>\n
\"It's in line with our efforts to increase our domestic
\ninvestor base,\" Ficoritas' president, Mulyana Muiz, told
\njournalists.<\/p>\n
After the signing ceremony, the chairman of the Capital Market
\nSupervisory Agency (Bapepam), I Putu Gede Ary Suta, launched the
\noperation of Ficoritas' trading gallery which is located in the
\nJSX building.<\/p>\n
The establishment of the trading gallery, according Mulyana,
\nis designed to help Ficoritas customers, particularly retail
\ninvestors, get real time information about trading activities on
\nthe JSX.<\/p>\n
\"Based on such information, investors are also allowed to buy
\nor sell securities immediately at the gallery because we also
\nemploy customer service officials to handle customers' orders,\"
\nhe added.<\/p>\n
JSX members can set up their own branches in other cities. The
\nJSX has also established three stock market outlets in Medan of
\nNorth Sumatra, Bandung in West Java and Semarang in Central Java,
\nwhich can be used by its members.<\/p>\n
However, Mulyana argued that it is too expensive to send his
\nown people to work at the outlets.<\/p>\n
Ficoritas is 100 percent owned by publicly-listed Ficorinvest
\nBank while Bepede Jateng Sekuritas is owned by the Central Java
