        "content": "<p>FIBV approves JSX regular membership<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Members of the Federation of International Stock<br>\nExchanges (FIBV) have unanimously approved the regular membership<br>\nof the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) at the end of its two-day<br>\ngeneral assembly in Seoul.<\/p>\n<p>The Paris-based federation also admitted the Warsaw Stock<br>\nExchange during the meeting Tuesday, thereby increasing the<br>\nnumber of the federation's members to 35.<\/p>\n<p>A JSX spokesman said in a statement made available here that<br>\nthe approval of JSX's membership reflected the recognition of the<br>\nworld's major stock exchanges. Full membership in the federation<br>\nhas now placed the JSX in the same group as major stock exchanges<br>\nin the world.<\/p>\n<p>The general assembly, attended by 200 executives representing<br>\n44 exchanges from 35 countries, also held intensive discussions<br>\non measures to standardize the international financial criteria<br>\nof listed companies. The standardization is expected to ease the<br>\nunderstanding of companies' financial information.<\/p>\n<p>The general assembly also agreed during the meeting to better<br>\norganize the Over the Counter (OTC) electronic markets for the<br>\ninterest of investors.(hen)<\/p>",
