        "content": "<p>Few Indonesians study in NZ<\/p>\n<p>MEDAN, North Sumatra: Only 1,500 Indonesians are currently<br>\nstudying in New Zealand universities, Antara quoted New Zealand<br>\nAmbassador Tim Groser as saying.<\/p>\n<p>The number is far smaller than the number of Indonesians in<br>\nMalaysia, where there are up to 900 at one university, Groser<br>\nsaid in a meeting with the Rector of the University of North<br>\nSumatra, Chairuddin P. Lubis, and a number of state university<br>\nlecturers.<\/p>\n<p>Groser, who is married to a West Sumatran from Bukittinggi,<br>\nsaid the small number of students was the result of a lack of<br>\npromotion by New Zealand universities.<\/p>\n<p>Groser said his office regularly held exhibitions in several<br>\ncities on New Zealand&apos;s higher learning institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Lubis told the lecturers and researchers at the biggest<br>\nuniversity in Sumatra to expand research cooperation with their<br>\ncolleagues from New Zealand through the exchange of lecturers and<br>\nstudents.
