        "content": "<p>Ferry crossing improved<\/p>\n<p>SERANG, West Java: PT ASDP, the state-owned lake and ferry<br>\ncrossing service company, has improved its ferry services between<br>\nMerak and Bakauheni by using a faster boat for this coming Idul<br>\nFitri holiday.<\/p>\n<p>The Marina Batam-7, which can carry 128 passengers, can<br>\ncomplete the course across the Sunda strait in 30 minutes, half<br>\nof the normal time required by bigger ferries.<\/p>\n<p>Antara said that the Marina Batam-7, which has been operating<br>\non the Tanjung Pinang-Batam service, will be an addition to the<br>\n14 ferries that are already plying the Sunda Strait. Six fast<br>\nboats have also been deployed to cope with the expected surge in<br>\npassengers in the next few days, ahead of the Idul Fitri holiday.<\/p>\n<p>Marina Batam-7 will begin full operation in the Sunda Strait<br>\non Friday.
