        "content": "<p>A female student from the Faculty of Engineering at Hasanuddin\nUniversity (Unhas) was found dead in the campus area of the Engineering\ncampus in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi. Police are investigating the\ncause of death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, the victim was found dead, not a suicide,\u201d said IPDA Andi\nMuhammad Alfian, head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Tipidum) of\nthe Gowa Police Resort, in an interview with CNNIndonesia.com on Tuesday\n(19\/5).<\/p>\n<p>The victim was found in the Engineering campus area on Monday (18\/5)\naround 19:30 WITA.<\/p>\n<p>Officers went to the location, coordinating with the Forensic Medical\nTeam of South Sulawesi Regional Police and the INAFIS team of the Gowa\nPolice to identify the remains.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe victim was first found by two of her colleagues, then reported\nto the campus and to the police,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Alfian explained that preliminary examination indicated the deceased\nhad the initials PJT (19); there were no signs of fracture or serious\ninjuries on the body.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the condition of the body, there are no broken bones, no\nserious injuries,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>However, Alfian admitted he did not yet know the exact cause of\ndeath, as the family refused to allow an autopsy on the body.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is a condition\/disease that we do not know yet. It will not be\nautopsied because the father did not want his child autopsied,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>The Unhas campus has not yet issued an official statement regarding\nthe incident.<\/p>\n<p>Voice message sent to parents beforehand<\/p>\n<p>Hasanuddin University (Unhas) spoke on the death of the engineering\nstudent, initial PJT (19), who was found lifeless in the campus\narea.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, last night the victim was found by a friend, then reported to\ncampus security,\u201d said Ishaq Rahman, Head of Public Relations at Unhas,\nin a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was found on Monday (18\/5) around 19:30 WITA, and campus\nsecurity immediately reported the incident to the police.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBefore the incident, the victim had sent a voice message to another\nfriend. The voice message was then forwarded to her parents,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n<p>After the family received the voice message, the parents began\nsearching for the victim around the campus. They could not find her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the parents and the victim\u2019s other friends went to the security\npost to request a key to the building in order to search inside, the\nsecurity guard informed them that a victim had been found. So the\nparents and friends went to the hospital and found that the victim had\nindeed died,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Ishaq said the exact cause of death is still under\ninvestigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegarding the cause of death, it is currently under investigation,\u201d\nhe added.<\/p>",
