        "content": "<p>Female activists protest probe<\/p>\n<p>SEMARANG: Activists of 15 local non-governmental organizations<br>\ndemanded yesterday that police stop investigating Marsiyem, the<br>\nwidow of slain journalist Fuad Muhammad Syafruddin, who has had a<br>\nnervous breakdown.<\/p>\n<p>\"We urge that investigators stop questioning Marsiyem. Or, if<br>\nthe investigation must continue, it should be done by female<br>\npolice officers,\" Wahyuni, one of the activists, said.<\/p>\n<p>The activists said they were concerned for Sunarti, the wife<br>\nof suspected killer Dwi Sumaji, who has also had a nervous<br>\nbreakdown because of the protracted investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Police have said they will continue their investigation, and<br>\nquestioning of Marsiyem, the key witness in the murder case,<br>\ndespite her doctors' warning that her condition could<br>\ndeteriorate.<\/p>\n<p>The activists said the police's stance was outrageous. \"We are<br>\ntaking this protest (over police treatment of Marsiyem) to the<br>\nNational Commission on Human Rights,\" Wahyuni said.
