Febi, Hendri flop in final<\/p>\n
Febi Widhiyanto and Hendri Susilo Pramono lost in the final
\nhurdle of the doubles event here on Saturday, to sum up
\nIndonesia's woeful performance in the US$6,250 Men's Satellite
\nTennis Circuit.<\/p>\n
Febi and Hendri, who were seeded third in the tournament, went
\ndown 7-6 (7\/4), 6-3 to the Chinese Taipei-Malaysian pairing of
\nunseeded Liu Tai-Wei and Si Yew-Ming in the final match at the
\nHilton Tennis Courts, according to Antara.<\/p>\n
Their failure rounded off the hosts' dismal run in the singles
\nevent, in which no Indonesian made it to the quarterfinals.<\/p>\n
The tournament is the first of a series of four. Jakarta will
\nstage the second series also; Surabaya, the third; and
\nBalikpapan, East Kalimantan, the fourth.<\/p>\n
The singles final on Sunday will feature top seed Alan Mackin
\nof Britain and unseeded Tristan Meniane of France.<\/p>\n
Mackin defeated countryman Michael Ouvarov 6-4, 6-2, while
\nMeniane edged out Suk Hyun-joon of South Korea 6-4, 6-3 in the
