        "content": "<p>Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Minister of Investment and Downstreaming\nand Head of the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Danantara Rosan P.\nRoeslani stated that the debt restructuring for the Whoosh high-speed\nrail project by PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) will be managed\nby the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes [under the Ministry of Finance], that\u2019s right, that\u2019s right,\u201d\nsaid Rosan when met in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (28\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>According to Rosan, the Whoosh debt restructuring has been approved\nby the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development\n(Menko IPK) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY). The announcement will be\nmade in May.<\/p>\n<p>Finance Minister Purbaya Sadewa has also confirmed that the\nrestructuring process for the Whoosh high-speed rail project has been\ncompleted and will soon be announced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s done, just waiting to be announced,\u201d said Purbaya to the\nmedia.<\/p>\n<p>Purbaya further emphasised to the Chinese Finance Minister that the\nrestructuring is complete, so there is no need to worry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI told the Chinese Finance Minister that it\u2019s been decided, just\nwaiting to be announced, so the Chinese side doesn\u2019t need to worry,\u201d\nsaid Purbaya.<\/p>\n<p>Purbaya declined to provide more details on the restructuring\noutcome, including when asked by reporters about the fate of PT Kereta\nCepat Indonesia China (KCIC).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be announced later, after it\u2019s announced by Mr AHY.
