        "content": "<p>Farmers to study in Singapore<\/p>\n<p>PADANG, West Sumatra: About 20 farmers and civil servants from<br>\nWest Sumatra are leaving for Singapore on a study tour to develop<br>\nagriculture and public-assisted growth in the province.<\/p>\n<p>A senior official of local administration, Prof. Dr. Muchlis<br>\nMuchtar, said the visit involved five farmers who were interested<br>\nin studying organic agricultural systems.<\/p>\n<p>This cooperation followed a recent visit of Singapore and<br>\nMalaysian investors to the province to get first-hand information<br>\nabout its potential for agriculture, tourism, mining and other<br>\nnatural resources, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Muchtar said the investors were interested in strengthening<br>\nexisting business relationships, creating partnerships and<br>\noffering free training seminars.<\/p>\n<p>This cooperation included the development of a Ngarai Sianok<br>\nbridge, a Padang-Dumai toll road and development in the coal<br>\nmining and fishery sectors. -- Antara<\/p>",
