        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2014 The family of Indonesia\u2019s sixth Vice President Try Sutrisno\nhas stated that he did not have a specific medical history that caused\nhis death on Monday, 2 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Taufik Dwi Cahyono, Try\u2019s son, stated that his father\u2019s health\ndeclined due to his advanced age of 90 years. \u201cMy father\u2019s decline was\ndue to his age; everything deteriorates at that age. There was no\nspecific particular illness; it was simply age-related, with declining\nrespiratory function and such,\u201d Taufik said at RSPAD Gatot Soebroto on\nMonday, as quoted by Kompas TV.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was admitted on 16 February. His appetite simply dropped\nsuddenly, so we brought him here. His condition fluctuated, he was given\nmedicine and fed,\u201d Taufik explained.<\/p>\n<p>Taufik noted that the medical team at RSPAD and the presidential\noffice had made efforts to provide Try with the best possible treatment.\nHowever, on Monday morning, the family was informed that Try\u2019s condition\nhad deteriorated and he had passed away.<\/p>\n<p>Try Sutrisno died at RSPAD Gatot Soebroto on Monday morning. His body\nis currently at a funeral home in the Menteng area of Jakarta for\nviewing. Subsequently, his body will be prayed over at Masjid Sunda\nKelapa before burial at Taman Makam Pahlawan Kalibata.<\/p>\n<p>Try Sutrisno served as Indonesia\u2019s sixth Vice President whilst\naccompanying President Suharto, specifically from 1993 to 1998. He was\nborn on 15 November 1935 in Surabaya, East Java, and was one of\nIndonesia\u2019s Vice Presidents with a military background. Try was accepted\nas a cadet at the Army Engineering Academy (Atekad) in 1956. He had met\nSuharto during the Operation to Liberate West Irian in 1962.<\/p>",
