Families of killed strikers want justice<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The families of two striking workers murdered in
\na recent attack, demanded on Wednesday that National Police
\ndetectives immediately arrest the masterminds of the incident,
\none of whom is allegedly an Army officer.<\/p>\n
The attack on striking workers of car upholstery producer PT
\nKadera AR Indonesia (KAI), occurred at Pulogadung industrial
\nestate in East Jakarta, on March 29.<\/p>\n
A worker, Kimun Effendi, died hours after the raid, while his
\ncolleague Rachmat died on Sunday after receiving medical
\ntreatment at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital.<\/p>\n
\"Police officers must not hesitate to arrest masterminds of
\nthe attack... even if one of them is an Army officer,\" Zaenuddin
\nParu, a lawyer of the victims' families, told reporters at
\nNational Police Headquarters.<\/p>\n
Former Jakarta Police chief of detectives Sr. Comr. Harry
\nMontolalu had said that one of six suspects arrested in the case
\nhad admitted to police detectives that he orchestrated the attack
\nafter he received Rp 27 million from another individual,
\n\"suspected to be an Army officer\" who currently remains at large.<\/p>\n
The suspect who made the confession, Sugiono, told police that
\nthe money was given to him by a man called Kino, to use force to
\nbreak up the striking workers.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, City Police detective chief for general crimes
\nComr. Tito Karnavian said that \"Chief Corporal Kino\" was expected
\nto arrive for questioning as a witness in the case.<\/p>\n
\"Since he is a military man, we can only take his statements
\nas a witness, and hand over the dossiers to the Military Police,
\nto be further processed,\" Tito told reporters.<\/p>\n
\"We searched his home in Greater Jakarta, but he wasn't there.
\nHe was supposed to arrive here today for questioning, but has
