Jakarta \u2014 The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) disclosed that\nPekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq (FAR), during questioning by the\nanti-graft body, admitted not knowing the rules governing the\nprocurement of goods and services due to her background as a former\ndangdut singer. \u2018During the intensive examination, FAR explained that\nher background is as a musician, not a bureaucrat,\u2019 said Asep Guntur\nRahayu, Deputy for Enforcement and Execution at the KPK, at the Merah\nPutih Building, KPK, Jakarta, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Asep added that the singer of the song \u2018Cik Cik Bum Bum\u2019 contradicted\nthe principle of presumptio iuris de iure or the theory of legal\nfiction.<\/p>\n
\u2018FAR has served as Regent or state administrator for two terms, and\nbriefly as Deputy Regent from 2011-2016, so FAR should understand the\npractice of good governance in local government,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
Earlier, on 3 March 2026, the KPK announced a Ramadan-time sting\noperation, which was the seventh OTT of the year. The KPK said it\narrested Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq along with aides and confidants\nin the Semarang area, Central Java. The KPK later announced the arrest\nof 11 other individuals from Pekalongan, Central Java.<\/p>\n
