Facts about the Man Who Claimed to be an Official and Assaulted 3\nPetrol Station Attendants in Jakarta<\/p>\n
Three petrol station attendants in Cipinang, Pulogadung, East\nJakarta, became victims of an assault by a man who claimed to be an\nofficial, identified as JMH, who became enraged because he was not given\nhis share of subsidized Pertalite fuel.<\/p>\n
The perpetrator was successfully apprehended by a joint team from the\nCriminal Investigation Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police and the\nCriminal Investigation Unit of the Pulogadung Police in the Rawalumbu\narea, East Bekasi, on Tuesday (February 24).<\/p>\n
CNNIndonesia.com has compiled several facts related to the assault on\nthe petrol station attendants, as follows:<\/p>\n
The perpetrator is not an official.<\/p>\n
Initially, there were reports that the perpetrator was an official.\nHowever, after further investigation, the police confirmed that the\nperpetrator was a civilian who works as an entrepreneur.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe perpetrator has been secured and it has been confirmed that he\nis not a member of the National Police,\u201d said the Head of Public\nRelations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, in a\nstatement on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Chief of the East Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner\nAlfian Nurrizal, stated that the perpetrator, identified as JMH, is a\nrental worker. However, Alfian has not provided further details about\nthe perpetrator\u2019s job.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe perpetrator, JMH (31), has been confirmed not to be a member of\nthe National Police, but rather a rental worker,\u201d he said on Wednesday\n(February 25).<\/p>\n
Using fake license plates<\/p>\n
During the assault, the perpetrator was also found to be using a\nvehicle registration number plate (TNKB) that did not match the vehicle,\ni.e., a fake license plate.<\/p>\n
Based on the photos received, the license plate used by the\nperpetrator was L-1-XD. This license plate was not intended for the\nblack Toyota Vellfire car used by the perpetrator.<\/p>\n
The perpetrator admitted to the police that he used the fake license\nplate so that he could fill up his vehicle with subsidized Pertalite\nfuel.<\/p>\n

The perpetrator claimed that the assault occurred because\nthe petrol station attendant first pulled his shirt.<\/p>\n Positive for drugs<\/p>\n Alfian also revealed that the perpetrator of the assault on the\npetrol station attendants tested positive for drugs based on the results\nof a urine test.<\/p>\n Alfian explained that they conducted a urine test because the\nperpetrator often changed his statement during the investigation\nprocess.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter a urine test was conducted, the perpetrator tested positive\nfor methamphetamine and marijuana,\u201d Alfian said.<\/p>\n Three employees were victims<\/p>\n Three petrol station employees became victims of the assault.<\/p>\n \u201cYes, that\u2019s right, there are three of our employees who were\nallegedly assaulted by an official,\u201d said one of the staff at petrol\nstation 3413901, Mukhlisin (38), when met at the Cipinang petrol\nstation, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, on Monday.<\/p>\n Mukhlisin said that there were a total of three victims in the\nincident, namely one staff member and two operators.<\/p>\n They are Ahmad Khoirul Anam, who has worked for about five years as a\nstaff member, Lukmanul Hakim, an operator who has only been working for\nsix months after graduating from vocational high school, and Abud\nMahmudin, an operator with about four years of experience.<\/p>\n \u201cKhoirul Anam was slapped on the cheek.
