        "content": "<p>Explosives used to catch fish<\/p>\n<p>AMBON, Maluku: Traditional fishermen in the Rum Island, Banda<br>\nNeira subdistrict, Central Maluku, are worried about fishermen<br>\nfrom other regions operating in the Banda waters using<br>\nexplosives.<\/p>\n<p>\"So many dead fishes were floating around after those<br>\nnewcomers used explosives,\" La Empy, one of the fishermen, was<br>\nquoted by Antara as saying. \"They are destroying the coral reefs<br>\nas well.\"<\/p>\n<p>La Empy said that he and his friends were trying to fish near<br>\nthe Manuk Island, some 60 miles south of Banda Island, when they<br>\nsaw three boats they didn't recognize.<\/p>\n<p>La Empy said these boats were also operating in the Serua and<br>\nWalirang Mati islands, some 150 sea miles south of Banda.<\/p>\n<p>La Empy said he suspected the boats came from either Bali or<br>\nEast Nusa Tenggara.
