        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Public transportation expert from Parahyangan\nCatholic University (Unpar), Prof.\u00a0Tri Basuki Joewono, has urged\nresidents or the entire Indonesian public to wait for the results of the\nNational Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) investigation into the\ntrain collision in Bekasi, West Java, on Monday (27\/4). \u201cLet us wait for\nthe KNKT investigation results. Hopefully, the investigation results can\nbe completed and published soon,\u201d said the expert, who is also the\nRector of Unpar, when contacted from Jakarta on Tuesday. The Professor\nin the field of Civil Engineering at Unpar further explained that all\nparties need to wait for the KNKT investigation results in order to\nprovide appropriate solutions or recommendations related to\npost-incident improvements in the future. \u201cI suggest waiting for the\nKNKT investigation results. After that, it can be evaluated together to\ndelve deeper, and then alternatives for solutions can be sought,\u201d he\nsaid. Meanwhile, he reminded that the solutions or recommendations\nshould not be limited to solving problems at the surface level only. The chronology of the accident that occurred on\n27 April 2026 is suspected to have begun with the electric rail train\n(KRL) on the Bekasi-Cikarang route with code 5181 hitting a taxi unit at\na railway crossing near Bulak Kapal, Bekasi, West Java. As a result, the\nKRL with code 5568 heading to Cikarang stopped at Bekasi Timur Station.\nHowever, the long-distance train Argo Bromo Anggrek on the\nJakarta-Surabaya route hit the KRL, penetrating several carriages. Metro\nJaya Police revealed that until Tuesday (28\/4) afternoon, 15 people had\ndied as a result of the incident.
