Ex-PD Pasar Jaya
\ndirector questioned<\/p>\n
The Jakarta Prosecutor's Office has questioned seven more
\npeople, including an ex-director of the City-Owned Market Company
\n(PD Pasar Jaya) in connection with a Rp 2 billion (US$ 926,000)
\nembezzlement at the company.<\/p>\n
Former PD Pasar Jaya finance and administrative affairs
\ndirector Omaran and six other officials were questioned by the
\nprosecution's team last week as witnesses in the case, which
\ninvolved Atin Setiadi as a main suspect.<\/p>\n
Setiadi, 36, a low-ranking official in the treasury department
\nof the company, was captured by police on June 6 in Labuan,
\nPandeglang, West Java, where he had been hiding for six months.<\/p>\n
Reliable sources have indicated that Setiadi had told the
\ninvestigators that he did not act alone in the fraud which had
\nallegedly been going on for years.<\/p>\n
The prosecutor's office has thus far questioned at least 21
\npeople, including senior officials of the company.<\/p>\n
In the embezzlement, Setiadi reportedly manipulated
\nemployees' pension funds, insurance premiums and registration
