Ex-BI directors now in Cipinang<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Three former directors of Bank Indonesia were delivered
\nto the Cipinang penitentiary, East Jakarta, late on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The Supreme Court has recently delivered 18-month jail
\nsentences to the three: Paul Sutopo, Heru Supraptomo, and
\nHendrobudiyanto for their role in the channeling of billions of
\ndollars worth of the central bank liquidity support facility to
\nthe ailing bank in the wake of the 1997 Asian financial crisis,
\ncausing massive losses to the state.<\/p>\n
