        "content": "<p>EVA Air clarifies<\/p>\n<p>Herewith, we would like to further clear up misunderstandings<br>\narising from the article CAL, Eva review schedules in the<br>\nBusiness and Investment section on page 9 of The Jakarta Post,<br>\nJan. 7, 1999. It stated that EVA Airways will drop its flights<br>\nfrom and to Los Angeles on account of financial problems. This<br>\nstatement has confused our customers.<\/p>\n<p>There are a few points that we would like to clarify:<\/p>\n<p>1. EVA Air has no financial problems. In fact, EVA is projecting<br>\ntotal revenues for 1998 of approximately US$1.32 billion, a<br>\ngrowth of 11 percent compared with 1997 that will produce an<br>\nafter tax profit for the year of around $1.92 million.<\/p>\n<p>2. EVA Air still operates its Taipei\/Los Angeles\/Taipei flights<br>\n14 times weekly.<\/p>\n<p>3.
