        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 The trend of electric vehicle usage during the Eid holiday\nseason is expected to increase further in 2026, with projections\nindicating that over 23,000 electric vehicles will be used by homecoming\ntravellers. In anticipation of this surge, PT PLN (Persero) is\nstrengthening its Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU)\ninfrastructure whilst ensuring that the national electricity supply\nremains reliable during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr (RAFI) 2026\nperiod.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources Yuliot Tanjung\nstated that the National RAFI 2026 Command Post, operating from 12-31\nMarch 2026, functions as a centre for information and coordination to\nensure adequate energy supply is available to all segments of\nsociety.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the smooth operation of this Ramadan and Eid command post, what\nis most important is ensuring public safety and comfort, which we must\nguarantee. Energy must also be sufficient and accessible to everyone\nwithout exception, as part of our supervisory role,\u201d Yuliot said on\nFriday, 13 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the National RAFI 2026 Energy Sector Command Post, Erika\nRetnowati, emphasised that through proper coordination among all\nstakeholders in the energy sector, various obstacles and challenges can\nbe anticipated early and handled more quickly and effectively.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough the spirit of collaboration and synergy between government\nagencies, it is hoped that the National RAFI 2026 Energy Sector Command\nPost will run smoothly and Indonesian citizens can celebrate Eid al-Fitr\nsafely and happily,\u201d Erika added.<\/p>\n<p>PLN Chief Executive Officer Darmawan Prasodjo stated that PLN is\nready to support the government\u2019s directive by ensuring the national\nelectricity system operates safely and under control. Nationally, peak\ndemand during the RAFI 2026 period is projected to reach 47.20 gigawatts\n(GW), with sufficient power generation capacity of 51.61 GW, providing a\nreserve margin of 4.41 GW, or approximately 9.3 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>To maintain reliable electricity supply, PLN is deploying\napproximately 72,000 personnel stationed at 4,137 emergency command\nposts, equipped with various supporting equipment, including 2,005\ngenerator units, 773 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units, 1,349\nmobile substations, 429 truck cranes, 4,901 operational vehicles and\n4,594 operational motorcycles.<\/p>",
