        "content": "<p>Moscow (ANTARA) - The energy price crisis in the European Union (EU)\nwill not end in the near future because around 8.5 per cent of liquefied\nnatural gas (LNG) imports and 40 per cent of jet fuel and diesel for EU\nneeds pass through the Strait of Hormuz. \u201cIn general, we must not\nharbour illusions that the crisis currently affecting energy prices will\nbe short-lived; that will not happen,\u201d said Anna-Kaisa Itkonen,\nSpokesperson for the European Commission on Climate Action and Energy,\non Wednesday (8\/4). Itkonen mentioned that the EU obtains around 8.5 per\ncent of its LNG from the Strait of Hormuz. \u201cWhereas for oil, including\ncrude oil and its refined products, around 7 per cent, mostly from Iraq,\nKuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, and for jet fuel and\ndiesel around 40 per cent,\u201d she stated. On Tuesday night (7\/4), US\nPresident Donald Trump announced that he had approved a two-week\nbilateral ceasefire with Iran and said that Iran had also agreed to open\nthe Strait of Hormuz. Iran\u2019s Supreme National Security Council stated\nthat the United States had approved Iran\u2019s 10-point proposal.\nSubsequently, Tehran will begin talks with the United States on Friday\n(10\/4) in Islamabad, Pakistan.<\/p>",
