        "content": "<p>The ethics trial for the dismissed Bima City Police Chief, AKBP Didik\nPutra Kuncoro (DPK), related to allegations of drug possession, is\nscheduled to take place on Thursday, 19 February 2026, following his\ndesignation as a suspect.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National\nPolice, Inspector General Johnny Eddison Isir, stated that the ethics\ntrial will be conducted at the Professional Accountability Bureau within\nthe Police Profession and Security Division.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will provide updates on the results of the ethics trial against\nAKBP DPK. The session is set to be held at the Deputy for\nProfessionalism in the Police Security and Profession Division, planned\nfor Thursday, 19 February 2026,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, the Bima City Police Chief, has been named\na suspect and charged under Article 609 paragraph (2) letter a of the\nCriminal Code, in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2026 on Criminal\nAdjustments and Article 62 of Law Number 5 of 1997 on Psychotropics.<\/p>\n<p>AKBP Didik faces potential penalties including life imprisonment or a\nmaximum prison term of 20 years and\/or a fine of up to Rp 2 billion, as\nwell as a maximum prison term of five years and a fine of up to Rp 200\nmillion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt present, AKBP DPK has not been detained by Directorate IV of the\nNational Police Criminal Investigation Agency because he is still\nundergoing special placement by the Police Security and Profession\nDivision in connection with the ongoing ethics process,\u201d Johnny\nexplained.<\/p>\n<p>In relation to this case, the National Police Criminal Investigation\nAgency has formed a joint team comprising the Directorate of Narcotics\nCrimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency and the\nNarcotics Directorate of the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police to\ninvestigate further.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll preventive actions up to law enforcement carried out by the\nNarcotics Crimes Directorate of the National Police Criminal\nInvestigation Agency represent a preventive strike as a form of\ngovernment protection for the Indonesian public, in line with the\nPresident\u2019s directives,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Narcotics Crimes Directorate of the National Police\nCriminal Investigation Agency announced on Friday, 13 February, that\nAKBP Didik had been named a suspect in the alleged drug possession case.\nThe case came to light following the arrest of two household assistants\nbelonging to the suspect, a police officer identified as Bripka IR and\nhis wife AN, with evidence of 30.415 grams of crystal methamphetamine at\ntheir private residence.<\/p>\n<p>From the interrogation by the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police\nNarcotics Directorate, the involvement of AKP Malaungi (ML) in the\nnetwork was uncovered. Subsequent examinations by the West Nusa Tenggara\nRegional Police Professionalism Division of AKP ML returned positive\nresults for amphetamine and methamphetamine. A search of AKP ML\u2019s office\nand official residence then uncovered five packets of crystal\nmethamphetamine weighing 488.496 grams.<\/p>\n<p>From this, AKBP Didik\u2019s involvement was detected. \u201cBased on\nstatements from AKP ML, there was involvement from AKBP DPK in the\nalleged narcotics abuse,\u201d Isir stated.<\/p>",
