An ethics hearing for inactive Bima City Police Chief Adj. Sr.\u00a0Comr.\nDidik Putra Kuncoro (DPK) is planned for Thursday (February 19)\nfollowing his designation as a suspect in alleged drug possession.<\/p>\n
National Police Public Relations Division Chief Inspector General\nJohnny Eddizon Isir said in Jakarta on Sunday evening that the ethics\nhearing will be held at the Professional Accountability Bureau under the\nNational Police Professional and Security Division (Divpropam).<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will provide updates on the results of the ethics hearing for\nAdj. Sr.\u00a0Comr. DPK. The hearing will be held at the Professional\nAccountability Bureau of Divpropam. It is scheduled for Thursday,\nFebruary 19, 2026,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He explained that Adj. Sr.\u00a0Comr. Didik has been named a suspect and\ncharged under Article 609 paragraph (2) letter a of the Criminal Code in\nconjunction with Law No.\u00a01 of 2026 on Criminal Adjustments, and Article\n62 of Law No.\u00a05 of 1997 on Psychotropic Substances. Adj. Sr.\u00a0Comr. Didik\nfaces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment or up to 20 years in\nprison and\/or a fine of up to Rp 2 billion, as well as up to five years\nin prison and a fine of up to Rp 200 million.<\/p>\n
\u201cCurrently, Adj. Sr.\u00a0Comr. DPK has not been detained by Bareskrim\nDirectorate IV because he is still undergoing special placement by\nDivpropam in connection with the ethics process that is still ongoing,\u201d\nJohnny said.<\/p>\n
In relation to this case, Bareskrim has formed a joint team\nconsisting of the Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Directorate and the West\nNusa Tenggara Regional Police Narcotics Division for further\ninvestigation. \u201cAll preventive through law enforcement actions taken by\nthe Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Directorate constitute a preventive strike\nas a form of government protection for the Indonesian public, in line\nwith the President\u2019s directives,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The Bareskrim Narcotics Crime Directorate announced on Friday\n(February 13) the naming of Adj. Sr.\u00a0Comr. Didik as a suspect in alleged\ndrug possession. The case unfolded from the arrest of two household\nassistants belonging to police suspect Brig. IR and his wife, AN, with\n30.415 grams of methamphetamine seized as evidence at the couple\u2019s\nprivate residence.<\/p>\n
From the interrogation conducted by the West Nusa Tenggara Regional\nPolice Narcotics Division, the involvement of Adj. Comr. Malaungi (ML)\nin the network was uncovered. Subsequent examination by the West Nusa\nTenggara Regional Police Professional and Security Division of Adj.\nComr. ML returned positive results for amphetamine and methamphetamine.\nA search of Adj. Comr. ML\u2019s office and official residence then uncovered\nfive packages of methamphetamine weighing 488.496 grams. It was from\nthere that Adj. Sr.\u00a0Comr. Didik\u2019s involvement was traced.<\/p>\n
\u201cBased on statements from Adj. Comr. ML, there is involvement of Adj.\nSr.\u00a0Comr. DPK in this alleged narcotics abuse,\u201d Isir said.<\/p>\n
A joint team from the National Police Professional and Security\nDivision\u2019s Internal Affairs Bureau and the Bareskrim Narcotics Crime\nDirectorate subsequently conducted a search of Adj. Sr.\u00a0Comr. DPK\u2019s\nprivate residence in Tangerang on Wednesday (February 11).
