Ernst & Young opens new office<\/p>\n
SURABAYA (JP): International consulting firm Ernst & Young,
\nHanadi & Sandjaja announced on Wednesday the opening of its new
\noffice here in a move to strengthen its operation in the capital
\ncity of East Java.<\/p>\n
The firm, which appointed accountant Bing Hartono Purnomosidi
\nas the Surabaya office managing partner, will help companies in
\nEast Java with business development, including debt and corporate
\nrestructuring.<\/p>\n
\"Although it's still slow, companies in East Java, as well as
\nothers in Indonesia, can settle their restructuring program. I'm
\nvery optimistic about that,\" Ernst & Young Chief Executive Office
\nPeter Knox said.<\/p>\n
Ernst & Young's Surabaya office provides services in the areas
\nof auditing, taxation, consulting and corporate finance to
\nclients from various industry sectors.<\/p>\n
The office, which employs about 60 professionals, is targeting
\na revenue increase of 30 percent this year, Knox said without
\nsaying the actual total.<\/p>\n
Ernst & Young has 23 partners and 600 professionals in the
\ncountry. The New York-based consultancy has member firms in 132
\ncountries and is supported by 85,000 professionals with a total
