Erick stated that Prabowo\nsupports Indonesia\u2019s readiness to be selected as the host for the FIFA\nASEAN Cup 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018For football itself, I reported that there has been a positive\nresponse from FIFA regarding Indonesia being one of the hosts for the\nFIFA ASEAN Cup in September-October this year,\u2019 Erick told reporters on\nFriday (19\/6\/2026). \u2018So, the President supports it. The President will\nprepare a letter so that later we can be chosen by FIFA to be the host.\nSo we will wait for that,\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n<p>Erick said he will coordinate with other ministries in preparing for\nthe competition. He explained that preparations require approval from\nseveral ministries, such as the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of\nHealth, regarding tax and health requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018And I was also asked to immediately communicate with all ministries\nbecause a FIFA championship like this certainly requires approval from\nthe Minister of Finance regarding taxes, the Minister of Health\nregarding health, and others. So this is what we support,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>The PSSI Chairman hopes that FIFA will officially appoint Indonesia\nas the host.
