        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to Indonesia, Zahid Hafeez\nChaudhri, stated that the friendly relations between Indonesia and\nPakistan have fully transformed into a strategic partnership under the\nadministrations of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Pakistani\nPrime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.<\/p>\n<p>In an exclusive interview with ANTARA in Jakarta on Saturday, the\nPakistani envoy stated that the partnership encompasses all areas of\ncooperation, including collaboration in the defence sector, economy and\ntrade, investment, education, health, tourism, people-to-people\nrelations, agriculture, and food security.<\/p>\n<p>He also said that Indonesia and Pakistan have agreed to enter a new\nera of economic partnership, namely a comprehensive economic partnership\nagreement that will be finalised next year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are in discussions with the Indonesian Sovereign Wealth Fund\n(Danantara), and we have held further discussions on several areas where\nwe can collaborate, including vaccine production in Pakistan,\u201d\nAmbassador Chaudhri continued.<\/p>\n<p>He added that Indonesia and Pakistan are working to align the halal\ncertification standards of both countries and create linkages in the\nhalal food supply chain between Indonesia and Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are also working on several joint ventures in the halal food\nsector. So we believe that both Pakistan and Indonesia can actually\nbecome not only partners but established trends in the halal sector,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Ambassador Chaudhri stated that Indonesia and Pakistan\nare holding talks for the supply of advanced weapon systems from\nPakistan to Indonesia and advanced training for Indonesian armed forces\nofficers.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, a group of Indonesian soldiers has just returned\nfrom Pakistan after receiving special training in Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>He also mentioned that Indonesia and Pakistan are collaborating in\nthe education sector, stating that there will be more Pakistani students\ncoming to Indonesia and vice versa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEspecially in fields such as medical education, engineering,\ncomputing, advanced computing. So, in all these fields, we will see more\nIndonesian students coming to Pakistan,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia will lead the D-8 chairmanship for the 2026-2027 period\nwith the theme \u201cNavigating Global Shifts: Strengthening Equality,\nSolidarity, and Cooperation for Shared Prosperity,\u201d and Pakistan is one\nof the D-8 member countries.<\/p>\n<p>The D-8 is an economic cooperation organisation of developing\ncountries comprising Indonesia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Malaysia,\nNigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey. Azerbaijan became the newest member to\njoin the D-8 in December 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia and Pakistan have maintained diplomatic relations since\nApril 1950 and will commemorate 75 years of diplomatic relations in\n2025. Both countries are founding members of the 1955 Bandung\nAsian-African Conference alongside India, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar.<\/p>",
