        "content": "<p>Sidoarjo, East Java (ANTARA) - Environment Minister Hanif Faisol\nNurofiq has assessed that waste management and sanitation at Terminal\nTipe A Purabaya in Sidoarjo, East Java still requires significant\nimprovement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWaste management and sanitation at this terminal still needs\nimprovement in our assessment,\u201d said Hanif to the media at Purabaya\nTerminal in Sidoarjo on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>During his inspection of the terminal, he stated that a\nlarge-capacity terminal such as Purabaya Terminal faces particular\nchallenges in managing cleanliness, especially due to the high mobility\nof passengers each day, particularly ahead of Lebaran 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Hanif said the Environment Ministry will assign an environmental law\nenforcement team to conduct detailed mapping and data collection\nregarding waste management in the terminal area, particularly at\nTerminal Tipe A Purabaya.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry will also give the terminal operator time to improve the\nsanitation management system and its supporting facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, he requested that the number of cleaning staff in the\narea be increased and waste management facilities be improved, including\nthe provision of waste bins and a more organised waste collection\nsystem.<\/p>\n<p>Hanif also assessed that the terminal operator needs to enforce\nstricter regulations on passengers to ensure discipline in disposing of\nwaste properly.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed hope that in future, large-scale transport facilities\nsuch as Purabaya Terminal can meet these standards in order to maintain\npublic comfort.<\/p>",
