        "content": "<p>Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Environment and Forestry Minister Hanif\nFaisol Nurofiq stated that his ministry will tighten oversight of\nmineral and coal (minerba) extraction activities throughout 2026.\nAccording to him, this is an effort to enhance environmental protection,\nespecially from the risk of water pollution due to mining activities.\n\u201cWe aim for tighter supervision of minerba extraction; this year, we\nwill intensively monitor 1,538 minerba extraction companies,\u201d Hanif said\nat the PROPER 2025 Environmental Award event on Tuesday (7\/4\/2026).\nHanif explained that the supervision will focus on 14 provinces with\nmining activities.
